NORVASC INFORMATION


Norvasc (Amlodipine) is one of the calcium channel blockers, a class of drugs which aims to decrease the blood pressure in human body. By widening the blood vessels, norvasc (Amlodipine) relaxes the heart and contributes to reduce the hypertension. Being an anti-hypertensive, it is used for the treatment of angina. SIDE EFFECTS OF NORVASC


The side effects of norvasc (Amlodipine) are not always persistent. However the common side effects that may prevail are listed below:

▪Trouble breathing

▪Yellowing of eyes, skin

▪Chest pain

▪Headache

▪Restlessness

▪Upset stomach

▪Sudden change in the colour of stool and urine

These are common side effects. Other side effects may also prevail. Ask your doctor if any of these side effects or other tend to be extremely worrying.

 

 

Before using norvasc (Amlodipine) it is better to consult your physician if you are suffering or have history of the following condition

▪Liver disease or disorders

▪Heart attack or blood vessel related problems

▪Low blood pressure

Norvasc (Amlodipine) comes under FDA pregnancy category C meaning it is not revealed if it is harmful for an unborn baby.
