PLAVIX INFORMATIONPlavix (Clopidogrel) comes under antiplatelet drugs( a class of drugs effective in the arterial circulation). Plavix (Clopidogrel) works by preventing unwanted blood clots. It is used to prevent heart attacks, strokes and similar risks.
SIDE EFFECTS OF PLAVIXPlavix (Clopidogrel) may have its side-effects which are mentioned below: ▪Allergic reaction ▪Nosebleed ▪Black coloured or bloody stools ▪Chest pain ▪Excessive sweating ▪Weakness ▪Headache ▪Upset stomach ▪Vomiting Other side effects may also occur. Ask your doctor for special monitoring if any side effect becomes extremely worrying.
Plavix (Clopidogrel) should be used with care and according to the direction of your physician. Consult with your doctor before using Clopidogrel if any of the following situations is applicable to you: ▪Allergic to any drug ▪A history of stroke ▪Kidney or liver diseases ▪Blood clotting disorders ▪A stomach ulcer Plavix (Clopidogrel) is FDA pregnancy category B. It is not likely to cause any harm for an unborn baby. Consult with your physician before using plavix (Clopidogrel) if you are pregnant. Avoid using it or talk to your doctor if you are barest feeding. Alcohol should be ignored along with plavix (Clopidogrel) as intake of both may originate the risk of bleeding in stomach.
Take plavix (Clopidogrel) according to the available direction given by doctor or as in the medication guide. Avoid over dosage and do not take NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).
