1. Why are the drugs so cheap in Canada?
- Canadian government has strict prescription drug price controls, which it negotiates with all major pharmaceutical companies.
- The weakness of the Canadian dollar has traditionally allowed Americans to purchase $145 worth of Canadian goods for every US dollar spent.
- No Taxes
- Generic Drugs come to market faster in Canada than in the US and the availability is much greater
2. Are Canadian brand medications the same as in US?
Same companies in the US and Canada manufacture all brand name prescription
drugs. Most of the medications are identical. There are some that may look
different or have a different name, but the active ingredient is always the
same. Some prescription drugs from Canada are actually originally manufactured
in US and then repackaged for sale in Canada. By definition all Canadian
medications are not US FDA approved however they do meet rigorous standards of
both HPFB (Health Products and Food Branch of Canada) and Health Canada.
3. What about Generics?
Generic medications are manufactured in Canada under stringent regulation of
the Canadian Government and are used by millions of Canadians daily.
4. Why are some generic versions available for sale in Canada
and not in the US?
Because of different patent law expiration dates in Canada, generic versions
are sometimes available sooner.
5. Are all prescription drugs cheaper in Canada?
No, but the vast majority could save you 20 - 80% or more each time you place
an order.
6. Does my shipping fee depend on how many items I order?
No. There is only one flat shipping fee of $ 10.00 per order, not per
drug. The more you order, the more you save.
7. Are there any other fees, besides shipping?
No. There are no other fees.
8. Can I buy all the medications that are available in the US?
No. We will not ship narcotic, scheduled drugs or controlled substances (such
as Valium, Vicodin, etc.). Furthermore, due to a variety of reasons some US
prescription drugs are not available for sale in Canada.
9. Do I need a prescription?
Yes. A valid prescription from your doctor must be faxed or mailed in to
validate your order.
10. How much of the medication can I buy?
You can buy a maximum of 90 days supply of each medication at any one time.
Your repeats however are automatically filled for you with no extra time or
paperwork. It's easy and fast.
11. How do I pay?
We make it easy for you to pay by accepting MasterCard and Visa. Due to the
long order delays associated with the check clearing process, we do not accept
personal checks at this time.
12. Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately we cannot since the pharmacies are located in Canada and cannot
accept foreign insurance. However CMP Savings Center can provide you with a purchase
invoice that you can submit to your insurance carrier (which then may or may
not pay for your medication).
13. Will my personal information stay private?
CMP Savings Center and its affiliated Canadian pharmacies will not release or
otherwise share any of your personal medical or financial information with
anyone or any entity, other than yourself or your doctor who prescribed the
medications ordered, without your express written consent.
14. Why is my credit card charged by the pharmacy?
CMP Savings Center is a savings group and not a pharmacy. All your medication
charges are billed directly by our affiliated Canadian pharmacy that provided
you the service.
15. Do I have to worry about exchange rates, customs duty or
taxes?
No. There is no duty or taxes charged on your medication from Canada.
